Five easy mocktail recipes for any occasion, using simple syrups, fresh fruit, and sparkling water to make drinks that feel just as special as the real thing.

A good mocktail isn't just soda in a fancy glass. With a little attention to balance and presentation, these come together in a few minutes and feel just as special as anything with alcohol in it.

1. Sparkling Berry Lemonade

Muddle a handful of berries in the bottom of a glass, add fresh lemon juice and a little simple syrup, then top with sparkling water and ice.

2. Virgin Mojito

Muddle mint leaves and lime wedges with a little sugar, add ice and sparkling water, and stir well. The muddling is what releases the mint's flavor, so don't skip it.

3. Cucumber Mint Cooler

Blend cucumber with a splash of water and strain out the pulp, then mix the juice with lime juice, a little honey, and sparkling water for something crisp and refreshing.

4. Pomegranate Ginger Fizz

Combine pomegranate juice, a splash of fresh ginger juice or ginger syrup, and sparkling water over ice for a drink with a nice spicy kick.

5. Peach Iced Tea Spritz

Mix brewed and cooled black tea with peach juice or puree and a splash of sparkling water for something that tastes like summer in a glass.

Presentation Makes a Real Difference

A nice glass, a handful of ice, and a simple garnish like a mint sprig, citrus twist, or skewered fruit go a long way toward making a mocktail feel intentional rather than like a consolation prize.

Make the Base Ahead of Time

Most of these can be prepped as a base mixture ahead of a party, then topped with sparkling water and ice right before serving so they stay bubbly and fresh.
