
Crisp on the edges, soft and gooey in the middle, loaded with melty chocolate chips — the only chocolate chip cookie recipe you'll ever need.
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Beat the butter with both sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla.
Stir in the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt until just combined, then fold in the chocolate chips.
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheets, spaced well apart, and bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centres still look slightly underdone.
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to finish cooling.
